    Help out an Englishman!

    Hello there!

I'm new to this forum and I offer my sincere apologies for not knowing a single word of Swedish. I hope you can find it in yourselves to forgive me!

I'm making the trip over to Stockholm to cover the UFC event for a US-based magazine (I'm English, before you ask).

Being the huge football fan I am, I've decided to catch my first ever game in Sweden on the 7th of April. I was just wondering what stand to get tickets in before I purchase any. I want to be right in the middle of the most loud, raucous fans (as long as they allow Southampton fans to stand among them!).

Thanks for your help. I've always liked AIK from years back. After all, I took you guys to the Champions League semi-finals on Championship Manager 00/01!

I would recommend you to stand on the east side of North Stand. Because the tickets to North Stand are almost sold out (if you dont buy a season ticket), and also because i want so many AIK on North Stand so it get really loud since it is our first game with a big crowd on the arena.

    Sorry for fucked up english.

If you want to be in the middle of the most loud fans, then the north stand is for you: http://i.imgur.com/ya8oaeu.png

Here is a link where you can buy tickets and then just print them out as a PDF-file: AIK-Syrianska FC tickets

But as already stated, I would recommend you to buy tickets somewhere else on the stadium since we want as many loud fans as possible on our first game on the new statdium. But trust me when I say that it will be loud where ever you choose to sit :)

Sit or Stand? I recommend you to reconsider to stand on the north stand. best fans in the world.

Bring earplugs, because this is something you will never ever be prepared for. The atmosphere is something you're not even close to in England.

    Have a good day, sir.

Just click the black banner on top of this site "AIK - Syrianska".
It will take you to the ticket site.

    Choose
    "Läktare 1,Norra stå
    150.00 SEK(inc. 20.00 SEK fees)
    "
    in the Price Category
    Follow the instructions.

The ticket is to the stand with "the most loud, raucous fans" ;)
But, what viaroverallt1 said: You might want to place your self a bit a side from the core if you're not prepared to give it all you've got for 90 mins.

Cheers for the help guys. I don't want to impede or stop the atmosphere so I've taken note of that. Still, I'm pretty certain I'll be joining in with whatever it is you're singing!

I've read that AIK and Syrianska have a bit of a rivalry. Can anyone tell me about it?

Long story short: From the season 2011:

Syrianska - aik | aik skämmer ut sig ordentligt - matchen avbruten | 25/4-2011 - YouTube

This is from our rivals and it point out that we made a mistake.

Well, I wouldn't call it a rivalry, since they're a shitty club no one cares about. However, the distance between the teams is very short, so sure, someone would perhaps call it a rivalry. Also; this incident happened in our away game 2011:

Edit: Of course I was second on that too...

I'd just like to add that this is our first game on our new Stadium. You'll be experiencing somehting rather special :)

I'm sorry if I'm impolite, but no, there is no rivalry. It's like the relationship of a man and a cockroach, no rivalry, just crush it under your foot.

Welcome to the National Stadium of Sweden.

I wouldn't call it a rivalry. We just don't like eachother that much after this incident during 2011... This is like everything that have happend between us.

I was aware! I see you're not happy with the stadium name. Don't blame you! Friends Arena isn't exactly the most appropriate name for a football stadium is it?

Fair enough. I was only basing the rivalry thing off Wikipedia so I was rather skeptical about it anyway. Where is their team based in relation to Solna?

Also, what do you guys do for drinking before a game? I know beer in Sweden is expensive but is there anywhere to go that's reasonable? Is there a drinking culture before games like there is in England?

Again, thank you all for you help. Top lads!

    You bet it is.
Dick turpin, by our former stadium. Syrianska is based in Södertälje.
We call it "Nationalarenan" not Friends.

Syrianska is based in Södertälje, approximately 40 minutes from Solna via train. Our real rivals are Djurgården and Hammarby.

There are many pubs around the stadium area, and these will be filled with AIK supporters, be sure of that. However, as you said, it's very expensive compared to english price levels...

Februari. I England kan du hitta öl för 2-3£ på pubar (visserligen standard lite högre), så nog är det billigare.

    Why I'm having a deja-vu?
Apologies. I don't speak Swedish so I've found it tough registering and forgot to search for previous threads.

Of course it depends on where you are in England. Here in a club in London you could be paying £6-8 on a bottle of beer. It's a joke!
